Does Invisalign work as well as traditional braces?
Yes! Invisalign corrects most dental problems, so you’ll probably qualify for this revolutionary orthodontic treatment.
How much does Invisalign cost? Is there a payment plan option?
Invisalign costs depend upon how long treatment takes, which depends upon your case. At your no-cost, no-obligation consultation, Dr. Tun will tell you how long treatment should take. Our financial consultant will explain the cost of treatment and our interest-free, in-house payment plan. We strive to make orthodontic therapy, including Invisalign, affordable for all patients.
How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners?
Invisalign should be worn for 22 hours per day for a patient to be in compliance. Neglecting to wear your aligners for 22 hours per day can result in teeth not moving as quickly as predicted or even relapsing, moving back toward improper alignment. These problems can delay treatment completion and may cause the need for additional aligners and, in severe cases, a new treatment plan.
How do I care for my aligners?
Clean your Invisalign aligners daily using foaming soap. Every week, soak them in with a cleaning crystal or Steraligner. Rinse with water, pat dry, and reinsert them into your mouth.
What happens if I lose an aligner?
First, call our office at 832-699-3683. We may advise you to move to the next aligner or wear the previous one. In some cases, Dr. Tun will have a replacement aligner made for you.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Most cases last between 6 and 18 months. Every case is unique, so Dr. Tun will advise you on your treatment timeline at a no-cost, no-obligation consultation.
Can kids wear Invisalign?
Though many people don’t know it, Invisalign can be worn by children! Dr. Tun offers Invisalign First, the phase-one treatment option for children as young as seven years old. She also provides Invisalign Teen, a therapy that’s ideal for teenagers with qualifying cases.
I wore braces in the past, but my teeth have shifted. Will Invisalign help?
Invisalign is a perfect option for orthodontic re-treatment. If you didn’t wear your retainer at night, your teeth probably moved out of alignment, relapsing to their previous positions. After re-treatment with Invisalign, you’ll need to wear your retainer. We can permanently affix a retainer, so you’ll never have to worry about losing or forgetting to wear it.
Do Invisalign aligners stain?
Yes. Regular consumption of dark beverages like coffee, tea, colas, dark beer, and red wine stain Invisalign aligners. Also, dark foods like sauces, berries, beets, curry, and balsamic vinegar can cause aligner discoloration. Should your aligners stain from foods or beverages, soak them in Steraligner solution.
What do I have to do after treatment to keep my teeth straight?
After treatment, you will wear a retainer for 24 hours a day for months, as per Dr. Tun’s instructions. Once this period is finished, wear your aligner overnight forever. In some cases, we will recommend a fixed retainer, hidden behind your teeth.
