Am I too old for orthodontics?
No, healthy teeth can be moved at any age. In fact, about 1 in 5 patients is an adult.
I don’t want old-fashioned braces. What are my options?
How is adult treatment different from that of children and adolescents?
Adults have denser bone tissue than children, so treatment may take a little longer. However, age does not keep teeth from moving.
Adults may also have fillings, missing teeth, worn teeth, or other dental disease. We will determine what treatment you require. We will suggest the help of your dentist or other specialists to ensure the smile you deserve.
How often do I need to see my orthodontist?
Advances in technology have allowed six-to ten-week intervals between orthodontic appointments. We also offer early morning, late evening, and select Saturday appointments to fit the busy schedules of working professionals.
Why should I have orthodontic treatment now after my teeth have been crooked for more than 30 years?
Orthodontic treatment can restore good function. Teeth that work better usually look better, too. And a healthy, beautiful smile can improve self-esteem, no matter the age.
